Laboratory Technician:
We are currently looking for full as well as part time laboratory technicians. These independent and self motivated individuals will help support the numerous daily needs of the research team. Duties will include routine laboratory tasks, stocking supplies and various other specific tasks that will fluctuate with the changing demands of the research team. Research Process Chemist:
We are seeking a motivated and independent individual capable of developing chemical processes, process improvements as well as adaptations with the goal of integrating these processes into a bioprocessing/fermentation platform. In particular, this position will be responsible for both process development and analytic assessment. Candidates should have industrial post-graduate hands-on experience running and troubleshooting HPLC, GC, and GC/MS instrumentation and the ability to critically analyze chromatographic results and quantitatively assess data. A key skill for this position is the demonstrated ability to apply standard chemical and biochemical unit operations to process development. Previous experience taking process development research from the lab to the production scale preferred. Candidates should also have strong hands-on wet chemistry skills and sample preparation knowledge; analytical computation and basic statistical analysis; and laboratory record-keeping, and data presentation are required. Fermentation Engineer:
We are seeking a motivated and independent individual capable to manage the scale up of our novel bacterial and yeast bioprocesses to as large as 1 million liters. In particular, this position will be responsible for managing the transition from our lab scale process to industrial scale, integrating with scientists at the lab scale as well as process chemists and engineers to development efficient integrated industrial bioprocesses. A key skill for this position is the demonstrated ability to scale fermentative processes from lab to industrial scale as well as managing internal and external scale up efforts.
